Guest guest
Hi all, Jake's neuros want to try him on a folonic acid supplement (though his Baylor tetrahydrofolate labs were normal) - I assume they are talking about Leucovorin? Can anyone who might be taking it share experiences and doses and in what form you give it? Thanks. Barb Swoyer, Jake's mom
Guest guest
Hi Barbara, my daughter Kristan was on a leucovorin calcium tablet 2.5 mg twice a day when she first started having seizures in April 2003. We used to just crush it, mix it with some water and syringe it into her. We didn't see any improvement when we used it with Kristan, she was at her worst and on so many meds at the same time as the Leucovorin, so we really don't know. We stopped using it along with the meds sometime last year. That's my experience with Leucovorin. Hope it helps Jake if you do use it.
