Guest guest
Carolyn, Hannah has been hospitalized a number of times in her short little life for various things. The one commonality has been watching the doctors and nurses like hawks when it comes to prescribing and distributing meds! They actually tried to give Hannah a pacifier dipped in sucrose! Be vigilant! My husband and I make sure one of us is always with H when she is in the hospital because often times there is miscommunication between the doctors, nurses, dieticians, etc. Also, make sure that any scripts for meds given at discharge are the appropriate sugar free versions. After a month in the hospital, Hannah's discharge doctor prescribed her Phenobarbital elixir....it may have well been a bag of sugar! I also ask for the prescriptions enough in advance so my pharmacy has enough time if a special order is needed. Re: Hi !
