Guest guest
I'm wanting something and I don't know what. I don't feel hungry but I feel like I need something. I'm wanting a diet coke, or maybe trying the chocolate Vered posted or having one of my atkins bars or something, nothing " illegal " but since I'm not hungry I'm trying to fight it but I'm feeling so tired and weak right now that's not helping me any. -- Sue Huls 214/177.5/175(mini goal)/160 3/9/01 Independent Party Consultant http://www.carefreeparties.com all your party supply needs in one place

Guest guest
Sue, I feel exactly the same way. When I saw " water, water, water, " I got up and got some. Man, thank goodness for the group!!! I don't want a coke, but I would love a cup of decaf coffee (w/cream and sweetener). I promised myself that I would go at least three days without it, but man it's hard!!! Guest guest
Boy, I tried baked cheese which didn't help me at all so I was going to give and and have some of the chocolate Vered posted. That was a mistake, I think I tried it way to early before putting in much splenda YUCK it was too strong, tasted like coffee ground paste or something. I'm not a big chocolate person, I like milk chocolate from time to time but that's it. Anyway, now I'm eating pork rinds trying to get that taste out of my mouth b/c water isn't getting it out. My problem though is my snacks like bakes cheese, pork rinds and atkins bars all seem to taste better with Diet Coke instead of water so they don't seem so satisfying. As far as the other suggestions, I am drinking water, already got probably about 80-90 oz in and it's only 4pm. Tuna with mayo I can handle sometimes but not too often and I don't think I could eat it now so I'll HOPEFULLY just suffer through and maybe tomorrow will be better. Tomorrow is my 9 yr wedding anniversary and we might go out to eat for supper so I might try and wait and have a diet coke then. Guest guest
Okay, maybe I should not say this, but here goes. There is no way on earth that I am giving up my Diet soda. I lost 55 pounds while drinking it with no problems. As I see it, I'm not going to give up something that I don't believe causes a problem for me. It is hard enough giving up the things that do cause problems for me! LOL Jean 190/148.5/135 12/7/
Guest guest
I should qualify, I am drinking my water in addition to my diet soda. Jean 190/148.5/135 12/7/
Guest guest
>Boy, I tried baked cheese which didn't help me at all has ayone tried fried provolone? i read about it somewhere as a substitute for bacon, and it's incredible... just throw a 1/4 " thick slice in a frying pan and fry it til it's crisp, then flip it over and do the other side. when i start making some my whole family shows up and they don't leave til all the cheese is gone. rona. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp

I just need to get back to drinking all the water I'm suppose to. I mean I wasn't drinking an ounce of water and that is not good. It's hard though when the dang stores keep having sales $1.88 a 12 pack. Thats a dang good price, unless of course you are drinking a 12 pack a day then it's a costly habit. Guest guest
This is the key...if you can lose and drink it, it's not a problem for you. For someone else it might be. There are LOTS of things like this on this plan...for some it's cheese, other dairy, coffee, artificial sweeteners, LC chocolate. It's finding what works for you and makes the plan livable. Guest guest
Jean, you are so right about not giving it up if it's not hindering your weight loss. But it IS a YMMV thang and I try to encourage everyone, ESPECIALLY NEWBIES, to drink plain water. I'd rather see folks develop good habits in the beginning :-) But if you've discovered the Diet Rite has not hindered your weight loss, GOOD FOR YOU and I'm sure others are jealous ;-) I find that I really need to drink the plain water, and ONLY the plain water, to keep me losing. But then, I'm somewhat of a freak since I love to exercise ;-) hahahahahah -Marlena 214.5/165.2/150 > >Reply-To: Atkins_Support_List >To: " Atkins_Support_List Atkins_Support_List > >Subject: RE: Ugghhh HELP!! >Date: Mon, 22 Oct 2001 16:02:42 -0500 > >Okay, maybe I should not say this, but here goes. Guest guest
Sue, if the aspartame doesn't bother you, what's the harm in drinking diet soda after you've drank all your water for the day? I may have missed something here. Let me know! Cindy in TX __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Yes, Jorgi, I think the soda is a YMMV thing too. Thankfully, based on my addiction to it, I can have it without adding weight. I don't want to think about what it has done to the calcium in my bones, but that is a whole other topic. Caffene is a diretic[sp], so counteracts the effects of the water.
