Guest guest
I know just how you feel. I have adorable twin boys that are Apraxic. Best advice, find your self a speech therapist that is PROMPT trained. This method seems to work best with Apraxic children. My twins have been in speech since they were very young. They were still unintelligible. Over the last two months I found a PROMPT therapist and I can already notice a difference and so do other people! Now that's what really counts. Start here and stay in touch with this site. People will guide you. I understand (and am hoping and praying) that speech apraxic eventually with the right intervention can resolve itself. Guest guest
I agree with Jaxi, I too have been dissolving tablets in distilled water for 18 months and it works just fine. Your advice comes from somebody that does not want you to buy without a prescription, perhaps a drug store owner. In addition, when the naltrexone is in solution every ml contains exactly the same amount as every other ml, with a capsule and filler who knows how much naltrexone is in any one of the caps. Unless you can get it from Skips where the quality is very good.SterlingFrom: nomorepsychs <nomorepsychs@...>Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Please Help if You Canlow dose naltrexone Date: Saturday, March 5, 2011, 9:09 PM I got my Naltrexone at a pharmacy in Canada that does not require a prescription. Guest guest
If a capsule is properly prepared, the drug amount in it should be consistent. I'm not saying that that ALWAYS happens, but it certainly should. Guest guest
The whole tablet dissolves within a couple of hours in water, preferably distilled. No need to cut or crush it first. How long does liquid LDN last? http://ldn.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=links & action=display & thread=1468 Here is what Larry Frieders the pharmacist had to say: STABILITY OF NALTREXONE From: " Larry J. Frieders " <larry@t...> Date: Wed Mar 3, 2004 5:44 pmSubject: NOT 1 day... NOT 1 week...BUT a MONTH or MORE! Naltrexone is quite stable in water. I am quoting from Trissel's book, " Stability of Compounded Formulations " , Second Edition, page 266 " Stability- indicating HPLC analysis found less than 10% loss within 90 days at either 4 degrees C or 25 degrees C; most samples exhibited no loss. .... The recommended shelf lives of 30 and 60 days stored at 25 degrees C and 4 degrees C, respectively. " This is a reference book that every compounder OUGHT to have on hand. 4 degrees C is refrigeration and 25 degrees C is room temperature. We make a lot of naltrexone solutions for people who need to adjust their doses. The most popular strength is 1mg per ml. We supply a syringe with which the patient can measure the correct dose. It is bitter so it needs to be mixed with something (unless you have strong taste buds). Nobody has ever complained that it " stopped working " . Larry J. Frieders,RPh |The Compounder575 W. Illinois Ave ~ Aurora, IL 60506 630-859-0333 FAX 630-859-0114 What Larry has left out is that this is a compounded LDN, not home made. Big difference. Dr.Skip Once a drug passes from a solid to a liquid state, its shelf life can decrease dramatically. Therefore, do not make more than 50 ml of liquid Naltrexone at a time, store it in the refrigerator, and do not keep it for more than a month. The fresher the preparation, the better. Be sure to shake the liquid LDN well before using, and keep it from direct exposure to sunlight. -- Art My MS/LDN story/1988 - 2011 http://ldn.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=personal & action=display & thread=867 -- > > I got my Naltrexone at a pharmacy in Canada that does not require a prescription. Guest guest
Got mine from Alldaychemist and it starts dissolving immediately. Re: [low dose naltrexone] Please Help if You Can I have been dissolving the tabs in water for a year now. Working perfect for me. Do not know who they were but they didn't know what they were talking about. Tons of folks here buy the 50 mg tabs and dissolve in water.
