Guest guest Posted October 30, 2001 Report Share Posted October 30, 2001 Just wanted to say that it is completely up to you whether or not you have the HSG. I lost my left tube due to the ectopic. I like you had no risk factors whatsoever as to why it happened. I was told by my dr, like yours, after surgery that my other tube looked great and that my future as far as being successfully pg was very optimistic. But I do want to caution, that they don't see the inside of the tubes when performing the lap...only the condition of the outside, so this optimistic view she gave me wasn't completely accurate....but like you said a HSG isn't fool proof either. I never did have an HSG and am currently 31wks pg....so I don't think that they are necessarily " required " after having an ectopic. However, I know they do bring some comfort to many women. So I've always been an advocate of, it you want one, don't let a dr tell you it isn't needed...it should be completely up to you...and if you don't feel you need one at this point, then don't let people make you feel like you *have* to have one, cause again it's your body and your choice! -AmyR Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
