Guest guest
Lori... do they also read the results for you, or interpret the meaning? Thanks, > > I used www.canaryclub.org. Guest guest
Hi , They give you the ranges for each test. At the bottom of my results there is a chart that shows my cortisol rythym and also some general comments about my results. You can post your results here and they can help you with interpretation or you can take the results to your doctor if he/she is open minded to adrenal issues. I have mild adrenal fatigue so I am trying the supplement route first. I also just started Armour so I'm seeing how I do with that. Hope this helps. If you have ANY other questions feel free to ask. Guest guest
Peggy, I'm not sure if your question was for me (Lori) or but I use 500mg B5, 100mg B6, and 500mg vitamin C. It was suggested that I could use Licorice Root Extract, this is an herbal medicine (unless you have high blood pressure). I have some, but haven't used it yet. I've read that Chromium and Tyrosine (amino acid) are also good for adrenals. A couple adaptogenic herbs are ginseng (Panax ginseng), and ashwagandha (good for thyroid too). Others use a natural adrenal gland (desiccated gland). I think it really depends on how bad your adrenals are. I've been told BEFORE you start any adrenal support you should be tested. It's up to you the route you want to take. Lori Re: Re: saliva test? , What are you supplementing adrenals with?PeggyLori <Freckly2 (AT) > wrote: Hi , They give you the ranges for each test. Guest guest
My chiropractor gave me a take home test from ZRT Labs which is in beaverton, OR. It was a saliva and blood spot test for thyroid, adrenal and other hormones. Its about $250 and they give you very thorough test results, and pay for shipping the samples to back to them. You can get the blood spot and saliva test separate incase you just want one, or a combo kit with both. www.zrtlab.com > > I used www.canaryclub.org. Guest guest
Peggy, This is what I've read. "Adrenal-gland processes involve pantothenic acid (B5). This particular vitamin boosts low adrenal activity. Most folks use too little of it to get benefits. You might need use to 250mg 2-3 times a day. Adding B6 to B5 gives a synergistic effect that neither of these vitamins can provide on their own. An extra 50mg of B6 2-3 times daily can boost adrenal function." So this is why I started the B vitamins. I'm doing this very slowly and using the most conservative methods first. But that is only because my adrenal fatigue is mild. If I find that I can't increase my Armour then I might try something different/stronger. There is also product called Isocort that I've heard a lot about. It's available online for around $25-30 a bottle. It is an adrenal glandular. I'm doing the adrenal support on my own. I will show my doc my test results when I go in for labs and see what she says.
