Guest guest Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 I was recently diagnosed with diabetes type 2. I take Metformin 1000 mg two times daily. Tonight I went to dinner with friends and forgot to take it before I left. It is almost ten o'clock now and I was wondering if I should take it now and resume the normal schedule in the morning? I know I probably shouldn't skip it but I am sure hoping that someone is up and will answer me. Thanks so much! ~~ Barb " Jesus took my place on the cross to give me a place in heaven. The information that is on your prescription bottle (or the paper that came with it) should explain what to do. In many cases it will state to take it as soon as you remember, but not if it's time for your next dose (not to double the dose)... This is probably the type of question you should ask a pharmacist about. It's really 'medical advice' and that is not what this group is about. Hope that helps. Mike Quote
