Guest guest
Get to the doctor immediately... " A stitch in time saves nine. " I went for my physical on Dec 8 and my doc found a lump in my left breast. She told me to have a mammo and Breast ultra sound...Dec 8 was a Friday..Let me tell you I left her office and went straight to the Hospital and camped out there until they took me the same day to have both procedures done...The scheduler told me that she had no availability...blah. blah... I escalated and they took me, same day.....As much as I was scared I was determined for them the run both tests on me the same day come hell or high water...There's NO WAY I was going to spend my weekend worrying.....They gave me the results on the spot.....it was a Cyst....I went to the breast surgeon two weeks later who aspirated it and confirmed it was a cyst...Thank god... PLEASE, go to the doctor NOW..... frogger_hope frogger_hope@...> wrote: Hello new to the site as well as some other's. I had went to some DR's. in the pasttwo years. Guest guest
You need to go get a mammogram and probably an ultrasound. Its normal to be scared. Fear of the unknown is the worst. But don't put it off. If you have a husband or boyfriend or even a friend, take them with. I will keep you in my prayers. Guest guest
Hi, Girlfriend: Take a deep, deep breath and then another one and then another one. Continue to repeat. A lump in the breast, no matter how many times someone may tell us that it probably isn't cancer, is always scary. That is part of the unknown. I learned recently that 80% of lumps are not cancer. However, 20% of the lumps found are. So there is never a 100% chance that lumps should be feared. Take time to be really scared. Please call your doctor and make an appointment to see what your options are. Options are good. This group will be there, as I will, to support you and here your fears, concerns, uncertainities, anything that you want to express or feel. Just take one step at a time. Get all the information you can. Ask questions. Advocate for your own health. Just know YOU ARE NOT ALONE IN THIS. You will make it and we will help you make it. Guest guest
Frogger, go and get it done. Yes it's a terrifying thought. Every time I find a lump I go thru the same worry. Go get it done and move on to whatever the next step might be.
