Guest guest
Well, today was the day...I'm done with (1) year of Herceptin. Hubby had flowers sent to my job, and champagne waiting tonight at dinner. It was emotional, to say the least, I guess because it puts another " notch " in my belt, after double mastectomy(s), chemo, radiation, now Herceptin. I just hope it works. Guest guest
Thank you, Marisa. You will do just fine. How's the little guy doing? I hope you both got to see the tree and sights around Manhattan during the holidays. I was just downloading some of my NYC pictures, which I will try to put in my album. My best to you,

Guest guest
Congradulations , I look forward to the day I can join you with my own celebration. I finish in June. Do you have a port-a-cat and if so, are you having yours taken out? That is a question I will need to ask my oncologist since I have a port-a-cat. It doesn't bother me but I don't know how long one keeps it after treatment. Again, hugs to you, Anita --- ssist@... wrote: > Well, today was the day...I'm done with (1) year of > Herceptin. Guest guest
Dear Anita, My port was removed about 2 weeks after I finished chemo in October of 2004. Although it got me through A/C and Taxol, it was very close to my skin under my shoulder blade and my oncologist and I felt it should be removed so I didn't have any problems. Some people keep them in a year after chemo...not unusual. June will fly by, you'll see...I can't believe 52 weeks did. The most important thing? I got through it and so will you, honey.
