Well, weight watchers may consider it free, but for diabetics, carrots and

onions are high carb veggies, if I remember correctly. I know we've always

thought of them as wonderful, but I think both are high in sugar.

I eat carrots and onions in my salads. I have onions on sandwiches. I buy

frozen veggies with carrots. I have no problems eating these in moderation.

It is a matter of eating then testing to see how it affects your bg's.

I leave the carrots out, but I do put some onions in, just not enough to be

significant per serving.

Something like this gives a base for an idea to modify and use to fit your

needs. For some people who just have problems reducing the amount of food

they consume, making a food like this could be the difference between good

control and bad. For some people it's much easier to control 'what' you

eat instead of 'how much'.
