Guest guest Posted September 6, 2001 Report Posted September 6, 2001 , Down to 12!!! That is wonderful! Now I guess it is completely considered negative, but it is sooo darn close. I'm sure it will be negative by the next draw! Then hopefully once the physical aspect is over, you might start peeking below the surface at the emotional side?! Take your time. Have you done any further investigation into IVF? -AmyR Quote
Guest guest Posted September 6, 2001 Report Posted September 6, 2001 , I am glad your #s dropped quickly. I hope you are doing ok after all you have been through....I know, you said you just try to keep busy. You are in my thoughts. Aren't you going to start the support group next week? Take care. Guest guest Posted July 12, 2006 Report Posted July 12, 2006 Hi Marie, Welcome to the group, I don't know how to get weight off, I put loads on with my first baby, (35 years ago) and I still havent got it off............ ..........lol But someone will have some advice for you, Love suen xxx http://community.webshots.com/user/sue_nicholson2002 http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y143/FeatherSaturnweb/ http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/sue_nicholson2002/my_photos -- Hello all Hi. I'm new to the group. My name is Marie. I was diagnosed with Type 1 DM when I was 16. I had always had a tendency toward overeating, but nonetheless, stayed pretty physically fit and kept my blood sugars under control. Last year, I got pregnant. My Hgb A1c was awesome during the pregnancy (5 7) and my baby is perfect. But I gained alot of weight and now am having a really hard time getting back to the disciplined, self-controlled person I was before I got pregnant... and the weight isn't coming off. Any advice? Thanks and it's nice to meet you! Marie --------------------------------- Talk is cheap. Use Yahoo! Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls. Great rates starting at 1¢/min. Quote
Guest guest Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 I am wondering if some of the more knowlegeable folks can have a look at my blood results just received this morning. I am quite interested in knowing why I am being flagged on a few of the results.. http://www.tisonlyme.com/routinehematology.html Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Quote
Guest guest Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Your higher TSH could explain the higher cholesterol unless you've had drastic changes somewhere else. You're doctor telling you that the lab won't do t3 and t4 is like my doctor telling me that he couldn't prescribe my thyroid meds more than 30 at a time. He may mean that the lab will automatically do the ts if the TSH is out of whack, but I've never heard of that. If he orders them, I would think they'd do them. There's something fishy there. I always get my Ts and my TSH done. I go to a D.O. and I've had much better luck with them listening and treating 'me'. I refused the Lipitor after reading about it and opted for supplements, diet and exercise changes to correct my cholesterol. I've been prescribed anti-depressants 3 times, but I don't take those either LOL... Guest guest Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 I see the T3F and T4F results there at the top...are you saying your doc won’t do them again or what? What meds are you on and what is your diagnosis. Your meds indicate overmedication to me by the high t4f and high t3f.... sue I am wondering if some of the more knowlegeable folks can have a look at my blood results just received this morning. Guest guest Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Since this post about the T's I've seen another Dr and she had no problem with ordering them. As far as I know this is the first time I've had the PTH, both Free's, calcium and the other stuff done. I am currently taking synthroid .15mg---I am just at a stand still as I am almost needing new meds and this Dr that ordered this blood work called me the day after seeing her to tell me she has a full pratice and can't at this time take me on as a patient.I put together a summary of my health records as here in BC U have to pay for your personal medical files. I've heard in cases such as mine (thick file) it can cost a pretty penny. So to summarize dates and reasons and such I put together a letter which I took to this Dr and I think I may have scared her off.;( In The_Thyroid_Support_Group , JustYourTypeDTP wrote: > > > I see the T3F and T4F results there at the top...are you saying your doc > won¹t do them again or what? > What meds are you on and what is your diagnosis. Guest guest Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 What does the doctor plan to do? Did she indicate you are showing hyper? Guest guest Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Hi Sue I doubt very much that she intends to do much of anything as she has declined being my new Dr. I refuse to go to my old Dr as he clearly isn't interested in my well-being as for all these years (10) that I supposed he was. I will just have to take these blood results to another Dr. You were asking how I felt and to be honest with U other than the painful joints(fibro)constantly I feel better than I have in yrs. I have had the occassional heart palps but not very often and usually when I am quiet or resting. My temp seems to have settled on 97.8 and I'm sweating. I rarely if ever now feel cold as I have for many years in the past. I am just wondering if I should have the Synthroid upped? and if so by how much? I do not want to start feeling yucky again. > >> > > >> > > >> > I see the T3F and T4F results there at the top...are you saying > > your doc > >> > won¹t do them again or what? > >> > What meds are you on and what is your diagnosis. Guest guest Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 TIS: Those fibro joint pains could be from too much synthroid med. HAVE you ever tried peeling back just a hair on it to see if the pain resolves? ~E:) Tis wrote: Hi SueI doubt very much that she intends to do much of anything as she has declined being my new Dr. I refuse to go to my old Dr as he clearly isn't interested in my well-being as for all these years (10) that I supposed he was. Guest guest Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 Your T34 and T4F are already past and out of the high end range and your TSH is near 0, so I can’t see upping your meds. If you feel good then I would leave things status quo. sue Hi Sue I doubt very much that she intends to do much of anything as she has declined being my new Dr. I refuse to go to my old Dr as he clearly isn't interested in my well-being as for all these years (10) that I supposed he was. Guest guest Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 E--- Her previous labs showed her cholesterol VERY high and out of range. Thus, the lipitor. I have high cholesterol ever since I was dx with hypo/hashis but I won’t take the lipid drugs. I take supplements instead and am monitoring my cholesterol myself in addition to the doctors. sue Tis: Why are you on Lipitor? Guest guest Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 Sue: OOOH..I hadn't seen those. Were they prior to her taking thyroid drugs...full tilt? I wonder if she was fully supplemented with thyroid if her cholesterol would remain high? ~E:)JustYourTypeDTP wrote: E---Her previous labs showed her cholesterol VERY high and out of range. Thus, the lipitor.I have high cholesterol ever since I was dx with hypo/hashis but I won’t take the lipid drugs.I take supplements instead and am monitoring my cholesterol myself in addition to the doctors.sueOn 12/14/06 10:45 PM, "E Gillespie" <lyongillespie (AT) yahoo (DOT) com> wrote: Tis: Why are you on Lipitor?
