Hi Sheri Rose, This happened to me the other day. I was just walking up the escalator and all of a sudden I felt this pain. Not knowing your medical history, I would not know what med to tell you to take. Usually, I don't take anything unless my leg is hurting at night, then I take a Tylenol. When I had frozen shoulder several years ago, my doctor gave me Naproxin. I could not take that. You may want to call your doctor's office. They could tell you what to take or even call in a prescription for you. hugs Eunice Quote
Guest guest Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 Hi, Usually I apply ice for the first 24 hrs. every 20 min then after 24 hrs I apply heat in the same way. I don't know if you are familiar with trigger points (worth looking up) but muscle pain can result from these trigger points (aka knots) A point that often bothers people is located where the back pocket on a pair of jeans would be (pocket point). If you can't press on this yourself , try backing into a doorknob and holding for several seconds if it is tender. Seeking out a massage therapist or Chiro that is familiar with this may be benificial. Cat Quote
Guest guest Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 Last night I was sitting on the couch cross legged. When I got up or at least tried I was in such tremendous pain. It was like I had sat that way to long but it was just about 10 mintues and I sit like this often. Well the pain is still here. If I am just doing nothing there is no pain at all. whether I stand or sit. But the minute I try to move OMG the pain. It's very painful and its hard to walk. When sleeping I couldnt roll over without pain. The pain is where my leg attaches to the rest of my body. Has anyone experienced this before? I already have a frozen shoulder due to my diabetes. I need advice to relieve until I can get to the doctor tomorrow. If pain gets any worse I may go to the ER today its that bad. Sheri Rose Quote
