I think I just need something, anything warm in the morning. I don't miss the caffeine. Occasionally I will have a cup with real cream as a treat. I really gave the coffee up not because of the caffeine but because I cannot drink it without extra cream in it. ~Janet~ Home of the Super-Pei http://www.4shar-pei.com/ " >Thornapple Hill Chinese Shar-Pei www.4shar-pei.com http://www.4shar-pei.com/lunar " >Lunar Web Design " He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. Guest guest
Hi Tammy, I had to give up caffiene a few years ago for an unrelated issue. However, I do love my coffee and your right the average decaf coffees avail just don't cut it. So, I was at a loss till I discovered gourmet coffee beans.......YUMMY! Yuo cna get Starbucks or even the other brand that they carry at some higher end grocers. Get the beans and grind them there...... have the setting on " cappuccinno " it makes the coffee stronger and for some reason the fuller taste makes it so you don't miss the caffiene. You can even get it in French Vanilla &Coffe Mocha, whatever you desire. I feel like I cheat, but I'm not. Good Luck , Krissy P.S. I serve it to Mom and brother-in-law both avid coffee drinkers... I've NEVER told them and they don't know........LOL!! Guest guest
Good Morning Tammy, I drink one cup of regular coffee every morning since the first week of post op 1/22/03. I am allowed at least 2 cups a day but only drink one. I do not drink decaf because the coffee goes through a chemical process to become decaffeinated. I have low iron and low blood pressure and the coffee helps me tremendously in the morning. I very rarely have drinks or teas with caffeine during the day. Good luck, Darlene Open RNY 1/22/03 lost about 50 lbs. Doing Great!
Guest guest
Tammy - Why not try the 50/50 coffee? Maybe it's better than straight decaf. If you keep to that one cup a day, you should be fine. Jeanne in WI Age 39 - Dr. T. Chua Open RNY - 5/21/02 5'7 " - 314/215/150-175 djgraves@...
