Overview: Aemstar EMS is currently seeking qualified candidates for

entry level full-time dispatcher positions. Aemstar EMS is one of

the largest private EMS providers operating a general transport

operation located in Stafford, Fort Bend County. Interested

The position is for a set-schedule 40 hours per week. Overtime is

available but not guaranteed.

Benefits: The qualified candidates will be entitled to participate

Qualifications: Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

Candidates must have reliable transportation. All candidates should

posses a superior work ethic.

Compensation: Compensation for this position will be discussed

individually with each candidate at the time of interview.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receives and evaluates incoming calls, determines whether

emergency or routine and prioritizes each; determines who needs to

respond to call, relays instructions and questions.

• Monitors, transmits, and receives information over radio

frequencies to exchange information or provide dispatch services.

• Maintains accurate records and logs.

Qualified candidates should possess the following skills/abilities:

• Availability to work day, night and weekend shifts.

• Candidates should be able to operate dispatch equipment and

other communication equipment, enter, transcribe, record and store

patient information in either written or electronic form, operate

standard desktop computer system, internet proficiency and possess

strong inter-personal and organizational skills.

• Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the

work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending;

carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving

an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to

perform the work.
