Good Evening all,

The National EMS Museum Project continues to move a head and although

it may seem things have been quiet, there are many projects continuing

to develop, building a strong foundation for the future. Below are

several exciting " happenings " that have taken place over the past

several weeks.

The National EMS Museum Project has become incorporated and is now

officially the " National EMS Museum Foundation, Inc " . Development

continues on this stage of the project with a committee tasked to write

the bylaws, the election of an Executive Committee as previously

announced and the Steering Committee members becoming an official Board

of Trustees.

National and state organizations continue to send letters of

endorsement as well as placing the National EMS Museum Foundation's

logo and web link on their websites. The most recent organizations

showing their support for this vital project are CECBEMS (Continuing

Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services) and IEMSA

( Iowa EMS Association). As the website develops, an endorsement page

will be added listing the organizations that are voicing their support

of this project.

A.J. Heightman, NEMSM Foundation Trustee and editor-in-chief of JEMS,

has written a wonderful editorial published in this months issue of

JEMS. He has asked some great EMS historical questions, can YOU answer

any of them? A.J.'s editorial does a great job of bringing JEMS readers

up-to-date with the project and provides information on what will be

happening in the future, how to get involved on a project and who to

contact for more information or if you'd like to volunteer. THANKS

A.J.!

We continue to ask for your ideas and input. Visit the website,

www.nationalemsmuseum.org. We are still under construction, but if you

follow the links at the bottom, you can see who the steering committee

members are, visit the museum shop for some pins, shirts, EMS decals,

Emergency DVDs, and more and finally, by clicking on the " mailing list "

link, you can join the National EMS Museum listserv and post your

thoughts, ideas, suggestions or opinions in a forum to be shared by all

who want to have a voice in the development of this project.

We are continuing to develop the calendar listing conferences, trade

shows, symposiums to be placed on the Museum website in the future. If

you know of your state, regional, local or a national EMS event in your

area, please post the information to the Museum listserv or email me

off list.

Please include the following information:

Conference Name

Conference Date (s)

Conference audience (EMS, Fire, EM, etc)

Vendor Hall available

Designate if a State, regional, local, national or international event

Event contact information:

Name, email, phone number and website for conference contact.

We have received many spring listings and are waiting to hear of more

state and regional events for the fall of 2007.

Thanks

Jules
