This position is one of four EMS managers overseeing the functional areas of the department. These areas are: Operations, System Status Control, Logistics, and Clinical Services. The essential job functions of the Clinical Services & Process Improvement Manager are as follows: 1. Develop, implement, and monitor system-wide performance measurement program. 2. Provide ongoing feedback related to departmental performance and processes to management, Medical Director(s), and staff both informally and formally. 3. Define and monitor critical audit triggers for clinical and operational performance. 4. Work collaboratively with external entities as necessary to improve and / or benchmark Grady EMS performance. 5. Develop and manage an overarching departmental training strategy to deliver continuing education programs to address both minimum training requirements and identified weaknesses of field staff. 6. Coordinate research initiatives and pursue publishing data in conjunction with Medical Director(s). 7. Design and coordinate initial and ongoing training programs for staff. 8. Provide data reports necessary to evaluate performance of field staff and other employees, as applicable. 9. Assist in the investigation of complaints and develop strategies to address issues identified. 10. Monitor national and international trends in prehospital clinical care and perform utilization predictions and cost-benefit analysis on new equipment and therapies for potential incorporation into Grady EMS' daily practice. 11. Manage the evaluation of new clinical equipment. Make purchasing recommendations and produce Request for Purchase documents as related to areas of responsibility. 12. Assist EMS Director and VP of EMS & Trauma in development, evaluation, and preparation of overall departmental budget.
