Hello,

I have been lurking around for awhile, reading and learning, thank

you all. I found out I had a-fib in Feb 2005. I thaought I had a chest

cold for about 3 weeks and went to see the Doc. He immediatley put me

in the hospital and had cardioverion next AM. Went on Sotolol and

Warfin. I started having eppisodes about every 2 weeks for about 6-8

hours and would self convert. Frequency was getting to weekly. I went

to see Dr. Bhandari at Good Samaritan in L.A. I had abalation Dec 21.

Every thing went pretty well. The staff was very professional. I had 3

episodes of 5-6 hours with the last being 6 weeks post op. Since that

time my heart has gotten better and better. No more weird beats or

episodes. The wife and I celebrated with my favotie vice, fine WINE!

Life is good and 2 weeks I see the Doc to get off meds. I plan on

being carefull and am optimistic I have been healed. Thanks again for

all the great posts I have read to get me thru this.
