Guest guest Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Dear All, Has anyone heard or exprienced the use of cardizem in addition to sotalol in cases where the effectiveness of sotalol alone leaves room for improvement? Guest guest Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Joe, I take Cardizem 120 once a day and Sotalol 120 twice a day. The way I understood it from the EP is that the Sotalol controls the heart rhythm, but if I do go into afib the Cardizem will control the heart rate and keep it from beating too fast. I've been taking it for about two months now since a cardioversion in December and have had no afib so far. My heart rate is only about 40 bpm, though.
