Guest guest Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 EMS week is here. If you dont mind sharing with me. What are some employers doing for their employees this week??? Quote
Guest guest Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 , We are providing lunch everyday for everyone on duty. We are paying for some of it and some if has been donated by local restraunts (takes alot of previous planning). On friday night we are having a party where we have plenty of door prizes and food for all of our personnel. The on-duty people will have dinner and gifts. We also issue out new map books, field guides and picture ids throught out the week. I agree, most hospitals do some nice things for nurses (last week). hell, at the one I worked at, the nurses got something nice every day of the week...and the docs got *one* dinner (hospital food even) on a night that I was working the clinic... Guest guest Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 My favorite was when an unnamed specialty hospital in Austin hosted a catered lunch and worked with the large urban EMS system to rotate crews through their ER so every crew on duty could get lunch -- then the hospital's nursing staff came through and ate almost everything before Austin EMS even had chance... No, I'm not making this up. -Wes Re: Re: EMS Week In texasems-l , " " wrote: " What are some employers doing for their employees this week??? " Some employers at least acknowledge it. Guest guest Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 Let's see, this year: Paramedic of the Year award Communicator of the Year award Part-time employee of the Year award BBQ catered for all on continuing education days between morning and afternoon sessions. Coffee mug (cobalt blue) for all (the lunch bags (canvas with insulation) were last year). This week, free pizza provided at lunch time. Uniform advantage shop - buy one EMS shirt, get one free. I guess that's all, along with some very large posters.
