Guest guest
In the May/June issue of the Connecticut MS newsletter there was an interesting article about Victor Freedman, a Hartford resident who worked in the insurance industry for 23 years until 1985 when he was diagnosed with MS. Part of what he does now is specializing in obtaining all types of insurance for people with disabilities. He helps people find the right carrier for term and whole life insurance, short and long term disability insurance and health insurance. Vic says that many disabled believe that they are uninsurable and that's just not so. The average insurance agent may not be willing to spend a lot of time searching the market, but he is willing to take the time because he understands what it is like to live with a disability. I met Vic a couple of years ago when I was speaking to a MS support group. He's a very gentle and patient person and I'm guessing would do his best to find insurance for you if you are having difficulty doing so. The only contact information in the article is his phone number . I'll try to get his email address and share it with anyone who might be interested.
