Guest guest
, did they ever figure out why you had a seizure. I see why you take both but sorry you have both PLS and the seizure problem. PLS doesn't stop us from having other problems does it!! I understand your dilemma with having to stop working. I had to stop working too just couldn't handle the work and do it properly so I give my notice and took SSDI. Luckily with my long term disability from work and my SSDI I make almost the same income. I have my wonderful husband who is great in helping me with the housewife duties that I can't do anymore but I manage to do a lot around here still. ...........................Flora
Guest guest
, they say STRESS is the cause of many ailments. If we only knew what we know now I bet we'd live our lives a whole lot different. I guess sometimes life throw's us a curve ball to slow us down but we don't listen. I'm listening now!!.....I really don't take much for my PLS just a little Zanaflex 4 mg every now and then if I over do. Everything else is either asthma or bladder control. I don't like taking much medicine so I just take what I really need or I think I need. Many of my friends take so much medications. Nowadays I feel doctors like to keep insurance costs down by saying " here take this and that " its so much easier for them instead of running all kinds of tests to see what is really wrong with us. Now I know all doctors don't do that but they are a few who do......................... .......Flora
Guest guest
Flora, I had numerous tests trying to determine the cause of the seizures. The only thing they could come up with was stress and fatigue being the culprits. Greet culprits for both diseases. They say that one out of every three people has seizures that go undetected and all of these are caused by stress and fatigue. In my case, I was putting in 12-14 hours a day beginning at 3:00 AM plus leaving the house @ 2:15 and only getting about 5-6 hours of sleep a night. In addition to everything else, I take 500 mg 4X a day of Keppra for seizures. My last visit, the doc said if I do not have another seizure between now and next June, I'll be taken off Keppra. What a mess I've become. Norton Re: Re; , did they ever figure out why you had a seizure. I see why you take both but sorry you have both PLS and the seizure problem.
