Hey, why not put a post out to the HSPList and ask? Curious minds wanna

know...

It's very common for people to get a Spastic Paraplegia diagnosis (no

" Hereditary " ). That means it's probably HSP but there's no obvious family

history to

proove it and so the neuro don't want to use the H-word. Dr. Fink, the SPF

Medical Advisor, uses the term Apparently Sporadic Spastic Paraplegia when

there's no obvious family history. He's a geneticist as well as a neurologist,

so

he wants to be precise.

He estimates about 30% of the people with " all the signs and symptoms of HSP "

don't have a family history. That's the big reason that people can end up

with other diagnoses.
