I have felt for a long time that we really should have recorded history somewhere because sometime we are going to want it. Kathi, thanks for writing this up. I know the time required to do these things and that makes me appreciate them even more. It takes a lot of work and time to go back through stuff to find exactly what you want when you do write these things. I want to keep a copy of this. There are a few incorrect dates. I'm sure others noted that, too. If we are going to do a history we really should try to get something down in writing before we are all too old to remember. I just told someone at the bank yesterday--after 60 (yrs) and 3:00 (pm) don't expect me to answer questions. Joe Alberstadt had a couple of casual connections in Florida that brought about a connection in Vienna, Va. PLSers talking about that meeting and Rita challenging about holding one in CT brought about the first CT Connection that Dolores and co-hosted and it was in October of 2000. Synapse was already being written by Joe. well before this as that's where the Florida get togethers were first broadcast. I'm not real sure but the first Florida meeting must have been around 1998. I'm sure there are a lot of you who remember other bits and pieces that should be included in a history and I think now is the time to do it. Anyway, I love that you wrote this up. How can we go about getting an " official " history on the books for both HSP and PLS up to and then including SPF? I'm willing to help but until I can retire I just don't have time to do it all.
