Guest guest
You'll get lots of good advice from the members of this group, but really, you should be evaluated by a professional (physical therapist, physiatrist, or technician at the facility where they are sold) to determine what kind is best for you and what special adaptations might be necessary to meet your needs. There are many variables--size, weight, elevating foot rests, comfort cushions, etc. You also need to have a prescription from your doctor to get insurance payment for it. Dolores Question re:Wheelchairs > HI Group, > We are thinking of getting a wheelchair . Started looking on internet, but the more we look the more confusing it gets. Which ones would you guys reccomend for a beginner at this? I hate getting something and not liking it. Name & model # if you have any suggestions. Thanks in advance...Jeannie/N.J.
