Guest guest Posted May 31, 2004 Report Share Posted May 31, 2004 A lot of Veterans have ALS. I am not a veteran, my father is. I grew up on Air Force bases. He spent 26 years in the Air Force. First as a belly gunner in a B29 during the Korean war, then as a part of the Stategic Air Command doing Counter Intelligance Warfare, then he got into the Computer field to be sure that he would be there for me when I grew up. My mother went through WWII as a child. Luxemburg was he first country taken over by the Nazi's.. I believe she was seven years old at the time. She was blond and blue eyed, so she survived, but suffered as well. The house she lived in is now a National Monument in Furren, Luxemburg. http://www.thefaceof.com/streett/Furen600.jpg Both my parents raised me to be as smart as possible, and when I saw something wrong, to fix it. They understood how the world was messed up, and realized that they couldn't fix it, so they raised me to. I fell that because I'm standing to fix the gross abuses that I see, that I'm heading for the wheelchair.
