Kay Floeter, MD, PhD, Chief, EMG Section, National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, MD, and Mark Gudessblatt, MD, South Shore Neurological Associates, Long Island, NY, and The SAB reviews all of the research grant proposals received by the SPF for scientific merit. It then ranks them using the same ranking system used by the US National Institutes of Health (NIH). The SPF then funds the top ranked proposals. In this way the SPF ensures that the donations that it has received are spent wisely--on only the very best science. Mark Weber
