Guest guest
Hi All: I usually don't have to much to offer regarding PLS, but I do want to share the following with all of you. As most of you know I have had PLS for probably 35 years, only diagnosed in 1986. I have learned how to control it, by not over doing and trying to omit stress. Well this week has been really bad for me. I have been extremely busy and I should listen to the old body to slow down, but there are times when we don't. I had the stress of one of my best friends, having a heart attack (and thanks all of you who sent him cards, made him really perk up). Well yesterday (Friday) I didn't feel all that great, but kept on plugging along, and last night after supper I started to feel light headed, super tired, just plain out of it. I laid down at 6:00 PM, woke up at 9 with a severe headache. During the night my legs started to cramp up, had severe spasticity in both legs and arms, could imagine what was going on. Then I realize I had missed two of my Baclofan doses. I take it 3 times a day. I had slept right thru till 9:00am. Poor , he was so worried. I am feeling a little better this morning, but have a long way to go, so it's all R & R today. So I just wanted to share this all with you. The funny part of the whole thing, is Thursday I went to the doctor's (my family doctor) to get the results of an army of tests I had, and he said I was really doing well, and he was very pleased!!!! My fried Jimmy is doing better, but he has a long road ahead of him, but thanks again for the cards. God Bless!
