Additionally, I'd like to say that Armand is presently the President of

Service Dogs International, Inc. as well as a board member of a local

chapter of the MDA. He personally invented a 'Joy Stick' for driving and is

a co-founder of Connecticut Wheelchair Sports.

CT Connection

> All are invited to attend our next PLS/HSP gathering of the CT Connection

on June 26, 2004. We'll be meeting at an area restaurant in Wethersfield,

CT.

> We have a wonderful keynote speaker, Armand Legault, who spent 33 years

as a state tax auditor and now gives tax seminars for people with

disabilities, certified public accountants and other tax preparers. You may

have read his article, " Take It All Off " in a recent MDA Quest issue. Armand

has SMA (spinal muscular atrophy) and is a winner of the MDA's Personal

Achievement Award. The focus of his presentation will be about using the tax

" loopholes " , PCA (personal care attendants) programs, and a wealth of

knowledge in available services and products with little or no cost. A

question and answer format will follow his opening remarks.

> Kasinskas, a physical therapist who specializes in neurological

disorders, will also be with us again. Some of you know from past

meetings. Her advice and expertise is invaluable. She's very approachable

and helpful in solving a myriad of the challenges we face.

>

> A $25 fee, payable to me prior to June 19 includes the meeting, welcoming

coffee hour, lunch and handouts. A group rate hotel accommodation for Friday

and/or Saturday nights is available at the Ramada Inn in Wethersfield for

$79 per night for a double room and includes continental breakfast of juice,

coffee, and pastries. You may make your own reservations at 1-.

Handicapped and non-smoking rooms are available. Mention " PLS group " , " CT

Connection " , or my name " Dolores Carron " to get the group discounted rate.

Hotel reservations should be made before June 11.

> Anyone arriving on Friday can dine in one of the many restaurants near the

hotel or we can do a group meal depending upon interest.

> June 26 is the weekend of the Chicago gathering. If you're not going
