Guest guest
This is Vera's husband. Okay, call this obsessed or clever. I'm on-line in Vera's room at Mt. Sinai. She's doing okay and is feeling the love and support from her DS List Angels. Thank you. Her surgery went just fine (no hitches or complications). The only thing unexpected for us was that they left the breathing tube in for a while (woke up with it still in and was upset). They said this was because of her size, she metabolized the anesthesia differently than a thinner person would. The tube left in would help clear her lungs of the anesthesia faster. Unfortunately, Mt. Sinai allegedly had no rooms left for the patients in the recovery area (no, they wouldn't upgrade to a private room, believe me I asked!!). So after a little 8 hour wait and my pitching a fit with the administrative staff they found a room for her on 9 East. Their RN staff was a little upset because " those patients " go up on 10 East. She passed both leak tests and is soooooo ready for liquid anything. That's it for now. Thanks for the continued support. -, aka Vera's husband
