Guest guest
I have noticed that thick secretions get stuck in my throat, interfering with what little speech capacity I have left. I have to take an extra swallow in the middle of a sentence sometimes. I have taken Robitussin expectorant, which seems to help but I am not crazy about taking this on a regular basis. Any other suggestions. Does robinul help with this? thanks Fern in NY check out my ebay items eBay Seller List: fec139

Guest guest
Robinul is a two edged sword. It dries out secretions and that is especially helpful for folks with drooling but by the same token those dried out secretions can be harder to clear. Also if your throat is irritable when dry it can cause more problems there. The Robitussin is probably the best idea. It contains Guifenisen which breaks down tenacious mucus. Perhaps you can try more liquids. I know I find the liquid thing a problem- if I drink enough to keep secretions moist I then have the problem of needing to keep close to the bathroom. Sigh.....
