Laurel My Mom My sweet 81 year old mother has been having a lot of shortness of breath, dizziness, and a little tightness in her chest. She went 2 weeks ago for a stress test. We went today for the results. He said that she has a possible blockage, next Tuesday we take her in for an Angiogram to run Dye through her veins, if its not serious they will do an Angioplasty at that time. If it is not looking good they will have to do open heart surgery.We asked because of her age if that is what needs to be done if she should have open heart surgery, and he said that with the symptoms that she has he would recommend it. My wonderful father had open heart surgery 5 years ago had gotten to go home and got pnemonia, while in the intensive care unit he passed away.
