Rust - batteries in dry and store

Colin,

could you please explain how having the zinc batteries sitting on the dresser as

opposed to sitting in the CI or hearing aid in the dry and store would be any

different. I'm very curious because we've been putting 's MED-EL bte

processor in the dry and store as well as his hearing aid with the batteries

inside. He gets about 4 days out of the 675 zinc air batteries he uses. I'd be

interested to try taking them out and see if he can go another day, but I really

don't understand how it could be any different. Can you explain the difference

in the air?
