When I was walking with one cane and had better balance, I just loved to make people wake up. Going through airports is where I would have the most fun. There's always someone who thinks that everyone else should defer to them, no matter what they were doing. Yuppies (male and female) were the worst. For instance: walking against the traffic flow or crossing the concourse, they would expect to be able to walk in a straight line and just assumed everyone else would get out of their way. Not this old stubborn Tennessee Hick! If they were meeting me, I would time my movement so that I could brace myself with my cane; pause for one step; drop my shoulder and " stumble " into them; mumble " Sorry! " and keep moving. If they were crossing in front of me and assuming I would pause until they passed; I would pause - but just as they got in front of me I would take a step and stick my cane just in front of their closest foot. If I held on tight, they will catch their toe on the tip of my cane just enough to lose their balance. If I was really lucky, they would stumble into someone else before they regained their balance.
