Guest guest
I haven't tried a Segway but last week in Cleveland Clinic we discussed devices for my future. We talked about the personal transporter which is a platform scooter which you stand on...it goes up to 25 mph (it weighs about 30 lbs.). Also they told me about a beta test (by a lawyer...eye-level contact being extremely important) being done on a standing transport that can actually climb stairs....apparently has a track instead of wheels on the bottom. They were optomistic. Eva in WV > Has anyone tried or know others who have used a Segway as a mobility > aid? They perform feats a scooter couldn't > dream of...like 10 mph.
Guest guest
Hi, gang, I think that balance is extremely important in operating a Segway. Lean forward to go, backward to slow or stop, left or right to turn. I have a mental picture of Bettie Jo still holding to the handles of the machine while lying on her back, or worse yet kissing the pavement.
