Each cell company uses a different frequency as well. We have tons and tons of cell towers around us. Jake never complains about them but I know on my old cell phone I could hear what he heard through my phone if he was close. Like the cell was picking up his frequency but he said it did not interfere with his CI hearing. The one thing we have noticed is that if he stand near our portable TV that we take camping, or the one that is not on direct TV the reception is horrible. It does not affect the ones with direct TV on them or his video games running on the. It is really weird. We have to make him sit a little further away. Some radio stations get static on the portable radio when he is close as well. Again, he said it does not affect his hearing, just the radio, etc. Elaine
