Hi again ladies.

I am having a good day today - got lots of napping

done yesterday (I must have slept for about 16

hours..)

I managed to be off thyroid meds for 3 weeks and

although I experienced a lot of bad stuff, I managed

by basically fasting and forcing myself to walk a

couple of miles (even in pain and with rain), to NOT

GAIN WEIGHT! Wow.. I am amazed.. I might have lost

an inch or two since I was turned off of food.

Anyway, I started 1/2 Thyrolar today (sythetic t4 and

t3 at same ratio as Armour, but no t2, t1, or

calcitonin..) so we shall see. My biggest gripe is

severe muscular pain - so bad that I am popping Aleves

and Advil like crazy. Hopefully getting some t4 and

t3 will help me out a bit.

As I am looking forward to renewed energy, I went

shopping for my allergy-free diet. So depressing. I

can eat like 4 veggies (carrot, celery, skin-free

cucumber, salad greens) and a few meats and rice and

potatoes and water. Oh well, at least I can count on

dropping some weight...hopefully.

That's the story today.. I think I got an A in my

" Biopsychosocial disorders in Human Development " class

so that is good. It is a sunny (windy, cool) day in

Chi-town, so that makes me feel better, too.

Hope everyone is well.

Love,

Misty

Look not mournfully into the past. It comes not back again. Wisely improve the

present. It is thine. Go forth to meet the shadowy future, without fear.
