Hi everyone. First of all thanks to Laurie for helping me get back in

with the group. I have not been on the computer for months and when I

tried to get back in to yesterday, I could not remember my

ID and password. How ironic is that since some of you are talking

about memory loss. I started all over with info and here I am.

I wanted to say hi and kind of introduce myself again. I am 45 yrs old

(for 1 more week anyway and I will hang on as long as I can). I am

married to a wonderful husband and have a daughter and son in law,

and a son with a future wife in the works. I will be glad to have her

as a daughter in law someday.

I found out I had mito in 12/99. Dr. Cohen at CCF diagnosed me with

Carnitine deficiency and complex II defect. Its been rough at times

as you all know but we are getting through it okay. We have learned

how to deal with the little episodes I have when I am overly tired,

stressed or have to deal with the cold weather. Plus the times they

happen just because.

During good times I still work full time as a receptionist. This is a

whole other story and how I had to deal with what I call

discrimination in the workplace to get to this position. I now have a

boss that understands what I am going thru and knows when I say I

have to leave for the day its because I have to and not because I

want to. It means nothing else gets done during the weekdays but work

and sometimes I make supper. I am lucky to get much done on the

weekends either to catch up from the week.

I will quit gabbing for now.
