Guest guest
Jeannie, power would be the better choice. Don't need to over do yourself by pushing on those wheels. I have an electric scooter a Pride. Have had it for six years now and only had to get new batteries only once. I requested a new scooter from my Neurologist. He wrote a script for it. The insurance company (United Health Care) would not pay for it they indicated that it was not necessary at this time for me!! I almost said well why not step into my shoes and try these legs out for a while and see how you feel after walking a short distance................... My doctor didn't think they would agree either. My insurance company will only grant an electric chair. Right now I don't think I need an electric chair but do need something for long trips out. My present scooter needs to be replaced but I'm really considering going for the electric chair anyway. If you really aren't sure what you what why not call the local MDA Clinic and borrow different types for free from their closet. They are always helpful in that way. Jeannie I sit on my walker while looking into the refrigerator its much easier then leaning down and looking in...........................Hope you didn't bruise to much...............Flora
