Guest guest
It is expected that the resident agent will receive no mail that needs to be forwarded. I don't get it, Mark. Then.... why would you need a volunteer to forward any mail to CT? Or, am I just not seeing the whole picture? This has been one of my " duh " days. Take care, Laurel

Guest guest
Laurel, In most states, corporations (the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation is a corporation) are required to have a resident agent. The resident agent's sole function is to receive legal papers and forward them to the corporation. " Legal papers " means papers involved in a law suit. The resident agent's job is to forward the papers to the corporation. He/she cannot be sued because of his/her status as the resident agent. Since I can't envision a reason why the Foundation would be sued in Illinois (or anywhere else for that matter) I expect that the Illinois resident agent would have no papers to ever mail to the Foundation. Any volunteers? Mark > It > is expected that the resident agent will receive no > mail that needs to be forwarded. > > I don't get it, Mark.
