AND ALS research can only help PLS research which can only help HSP research....and the beat goes on. Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much. Guest guest
Connie, What a wonderful daughter you have to do that walk. Thats too bad you couldnt get the wheel chair in your car, maybe next time huh? So did you get an autograph from the sapranos? Sounds like you had a nice day, Sandy to all.... Today, Saturday the 22nd, I went to Seaside Hights/Park, in New Jersey. There was a big " rally " for ALS. One of my daughters was able to attend. It was a three mile walk. Another daughter, that daughter, and I gave a nice donation. I wish I could have done it. The walk that is. My daughter who walked works in the Hospital, and she got a wheel chair, but darn, it didn't fit in my car. She would have pushed me. There was a local radio station there. Also after the walk, three men from " The Sopranos " were there signing auto graphs for $10. I'm proud of my daughter for doing it for me. Just thought you'd like to know that ALS is fighting as hard as we PLS etc. Connie
Guest guest
Connie, That was so cool you going to Seaside Heights today for the ALS walk. You and your daughters were representingn all of us PLS'ers. That was so sweet for your daughter to walk. Thank her for me. I've been to Seaside many times over the years, I used to drive down with my kids and they each took a friend and we would stay over. Maybe if they have it again next year, I will come down and you and I can have our daughters push us in wheelchairs in the walk. Thanks for sharing your day with us....Take care......Jeannie in North Jersey to all.... Guest guest
Dear Connie, That is sooo neat! Please give your daughter an extra hug for me. I am sure when research finds a cure for one type of motor neuron disease it will help all variations of it. HSP,PLS,SMA,PMA,ALS etc.... are all very much linked together.Maybe it is like cancer with all the diiferent areas of the body the cancer attacks in certain people. I don't know but please tell your daughter THANK YOU!!!! Love N. to all.... > Today, Saturday the 22nd, I went to Seaside Hights/Park, in New Jersey. > There was a big " rally " for ALS. Guest guest
DEAR BONNIE YOU ARE NOT IGNORANT AT ALL.ACTUALLY I HAD TO LOOK IT UP BECAUSE I HAVE FORGOTTEN. THEY ARE MOTOR NEURON DISEASES SMA ,SPINAL MUSCULAR ATROPHY IS AN INHERITED DISEASE IN WHICH NERVE CELLS IN SPINE AND BRAIN DEGENERATE CAUSING PROGRESSIVE WEAKNESS AND WASTING. THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES WHICH CAN START IN INFANCY, CHILDHOOD OR IN ADULTHOOD.PMA-PROGRESSIVE MUSCULAR ATROPHY IS SIMILAR TO ALS BUT PROGRESSES MUCH SLOWER.BONNIE I HOPE YOU ARE DOING WELL!!!!! LOVE. LISA to all.... > > > > > > > Today, Saturday the 22nd, I went to Seaside Hights/Park, in New Jersey. > > > There was a big " rally " for ALS.
