Guest guest
Hi Hanna, My appointment went OK I guess. The clinic where I went goes by the team approach. I must have talked to 10 different people there. From the dr's to the geneticist. They did seem to take me seriously, and didn't just tell me " there is nothing neurologically wrong with you " as I have gotten in the past, and then send me home with nothing. They were able to document some of my weaknesses. However the EMG was normal. I am going in next week for a sleep deprived EEG. My dr wants me to have a series of these. She wants to look for seizure activity. I am also going to have a CT scan. I can't have an MRI because of my pacer. I guess they are moveing extreamly fast on this. That is according to the referral person at my PCP's office. She is having to put everything through marked 'urgent. We haven't really gotten to exploring the mito angle yet. I guess that is pretty standard when trying to get a diagnosis. You have to explore every other angle first. Joanne
