Guest guest
Dear , If this pain persists, get scoped to rule out marginal ulcer.. They are easily treated if diagnosed early, but as you know, they are very painful if left to perforate, and etc as mine was.. Take care.. feel better Hugs,
Guest guest
Gosh, if having BM's once a week usually aren't a problem, then I wouldn't think that's the problem now. You certainly don't need to be sick with all the other stress in your life, but maybe it is the stress that is causing it? Again, praying for you. Let us know if it gets better or worse. Guest guest
, I honest to goodness have the same pains you are having. I haven't eaten to fast or to much but I can only get one meal down right now and my lower half hurts and my stomach area hurts. Dr. Theresa's prescription..... TAKE A POOP! to be bluntly. I am so backed up and I know its gross but my food has no where to go. Start doing what ever it takes to do that. I have been taking 3 softeners, some chewable fiber and this morning I can't handle it so I made me a extra choc. cub of coco and sometimes w/ the heat and choc makes me go. I sure do hope so! Hope things let up for you! Theresa~ *The most beautiful things in the world can not be seen or even touched. Guest guest
Hi : I do believe the problem is coming from constipation. The last time I was to the Dr.'s my stomach was really hurting. When he touch tested my stomach it was very hard and painful to the touch and he said the pain was most definitely coming from the constipation. This is an on going problem for most of us. I only wish we could come up with some type of viable answer for it. Was it normal for you to go only once or twice a week before surgery? Even though our food intake is so limited after surgery I kinda think that once or twice a week is still not enough. I don't know what the answer is. I wish I did. Nothing works for me. I've tried everything. More fruit, more veggies, more water, oil in the shakes (which made me too sick), stool softeners, vegetable laxatives etc. MY own personal theory is that the protein shakes must turn to cement in our intestines (giggles) but none of us can afford to stop drinking them. I also think the iron and calcium tabs don't help the matter either and we can't stop those. What do we do? I only wish I knew. Hugs, Roe > OK here is the deal I am having some pain in my pouch area and not trying to give TMI but I have not had a bowel movement since last Monday and wonder if this can be causing the pain. This is not unusual for me since I had surgery my normal is once or twice a week and it is usually once. The pain is kinda achy painful ? It got worse after I ate tonight and I didn't eat to fast or too much anyone have any suggestions > TN > >

Guest guest
Janie - You're right. It would seem that everything should just woosh right through, but that doesn't seem to be the case. When we eat such small amounts, the bowels move much more slowly. So in the lower intestines, where the water is removed, there's plenty of time to remove so much that we get constipated. Drinking more water is one solution that my doc recommended. It's something I need to improve on. And I do believe that the protein drinks are constipating. That's my explanation. I don't have this problem at all, so I don't really know. I wonder if it's a matter of having a diet too low in fat? or not enough fiber, since so many of us try to avoid carbs in favor of protein? Guest guest
linda, I have to say that since this surgery I have a better time of everything now. I use to go 15 times a day nothing would stop it so I am enjoying the fact that I don't always have to go every day but I do more than once a week. becareful you don't want to get a bowel obstruction.. have you talked to your pcp about this and see what they can recommend for you to take to regulate you some more.. good luck jean henry Re: Little advice needed Hi : I do believe the problem is coming from constipation. Guest guest
I'm glad your doing better. I'm still trying to figure out what to do w/out going to the doctors. My Best Friend told me to get to peppermint tea she says that there is something in there that works on the bowels. This morning I have had....... a huge cup of beef broth, hot coco w/ extra syrup, and then put something cold w/ diet Nestea. Ya think anything would work NO NO NO... I have to work, I have a appointment tonight and I have gas that would wake the dead from china! Hugs! Theresa~ *The most beautiful things in the world can not be seen or even touched.
