Guest guest
Hello, ALL! Made it back from my week long company meeting in Tunica, MS. It just totally amazes me to see what they have done to an old soybean field in the middle of nowhere. I have been to several gambling locations and this one was the strangest! I have been to Las Vegas; Phillidelphia, MS; the MS Gulf Coast and all of them have been in a major populated area. Not so with Tunica! All the casino's were widely seperated and there wasn't so much as a gas station any where near. Oh well, I am not the big gambler. I was up to $60 at one time, but blew it along with my $40 limit. I had a pretty good time anyhow! The thing that really boggles my mind is the attitude change in the people I delt with! There were about 130 folks there and I have known the majority of them for the past 10 years. Needless to say, most were shocked with my loss! Well, the old addage of " Men don't make passes at girls with glasses " has forever been changed in my mind. It should be (please don't take offense) " Men don't make passes at girls with fat asses " ! I had the best time fielding those passes!!! It was a great feeling! Since I have been married for the past 26 (almost 27 years) I couldn't return the passes, but it sure was a boost for my ego! The only trouble I had was with getting my protien sups in. Anyhow, I am back and very glad that I don't have to do it every week. It is still a shock that I was treated like I really belonged. I was treated like I was one of the professionals there instead of someone to be avoided. When I spoke up, I was listened to instead of ignored. Even though this company hired me at 300+ lbs, I can see where I was at a disadvantage in my career aspirations. Gotta run now. Very glad to be back!
