It is my understanding that if you child has no other disabilities or syndromes that can be connected to CF than it is idiopathic. It doesn't really matter because for the most part Ponseti method treatment is the same unless there is something else that may be congenital that would need to be corrected (missing a bone, ligaments etc) where surgery is required anyway. I don't know of any doctors in the ines that practices Ponseti, but maybe someone else can answer that. I would urge you to try to find a Ponseti trained dr. if at all possible. Idiopathic means: " arising from an unkown cause " . I think idiopathic also means that there are no other deformities/symptoms present. Sorry but I don't know of any doctor in the Philippines...
