Boles, M.D.University of Southern CaliforniaChildren's HospitalLos Angeles, CAThen there's a possibility of San Diego. H. Haas, M.B., B. Chir.Mitochondrial & Metabolic DiseaseCenter - San Diego, CAor K. Naviaux, Ph.D., M.D.Mitochondrial & Metabolic DiseaseCenter - San Diego, CA or Nyhan, M.D., Ph.D.UCSD School of MedicineUCSD Medical CenterSan Diego, CA I hope you have looked at www.umdf.org. Another option would be to try the MDA Clinics. Some are better than others but you might have some luck. You can go to www.mdausa.org and enter find a clinic to locate what is available in your area. You can actually go to any MDA Clinic in California.Good Luck and let us know how you make out. It was great to meet you in the chatroom the other night.AliceI am looking for a Mito specialist in the San Francisco Bay area. I have been looking for answers for many years. No one has been able to help me. Mitochonrial cytopathy is the only thing that I have found that would explain all the strange and diverse symptoms that I have had over the years. I recently got some of my old records from my doctor and one of the specialists that I saw mentioned it as a possiblilty. However it wasn't followed through with at the time.
