Guest guest Posted February 11, 2004 Report Share Posted February 11, 2004 Maggie, Unless something has changed drastically in the last month or so there is no definitive test for ALS. The means for dx'ing ALS is basically one that if they can't find it and you meet so many "ringers" then you have it..... it's not a thing that they diagnose lightly because of how serious a disease it is. Guest guest Posted February 11, 2004 Report Share Posted February 11, 2004 I was wondering if ALS was one of the things tested for on muscle biopsies. I don't know much about this, but I think the symptoms are similiar to other mito disorders and I thought that a muscle biopsy was the only way to diagnose ALS also.
