Guest guest
The lab rat is on vacation so I'm filling in lol. Hoping the weather doesn't get too bad between here and there. I have back to back appointments on Wed and Thur including many tests and doctor appts. Not really looking forward to the lengthy emg. I can't imagine a test taking 3 hours. Then there is the fun spinal tap. Does anyone know if this is done to find mito related problems or if it is only to rule out other diseases? I'm still feeling quite miserable as far as nausea and vomiting. I hope it doesn't keep up or I don't know how I'll even go. I guess the gi doc couldn't be better timing. I'm seeing a neuro-opthalmologist at the request of Dr. Tsao although I'm not really sure why. Is this part of a mito workup too? Hope everyone had a nice holiday. Guest guest
Hanna I have had an EMG that took that long. If they are doing single fiber sampling, then it takes much longer. Part of that time might be history taking. Eye problems can go with mito, but also things like MS, so it is probably a good idea you are having it done. In the spinal tap, they will probably be looking at your lactic acid level among other things. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Sun, 04 Jan 2004 18:03:14 -0000 > To: > Subject: Off to Cleveland this week > > The lab rat is on vacation so I'm filling in lol. Guest guest
Good luck. At least we didn't get as much snow as we might have, so hopefully it won't be an issue for your appointment. I will be thinking of you. hanna5918 wrote: >The lab rat is on vacation so I'm filling in lol. Hoping the weather >doesn't get too bad between here and there.
