Guest guest
, What a pain! (literally and figuratively). Speaking as someone who used to work with patients with a lot of UTIs, unfortuatately it is all too common to have a string of UTIs, have to go on a course of long term antibiotics to finally get rid of them. I'm not sure from a mito point of view, except that disfunction of the bladder emptying properly certainly p[redisposes to infection. Now I have a question I have always been too embarressed to ask about, but maybe I could here. I have problem with seepage from my bladder. I've sort of been passing it off as a menopausal thing, but I have to admit it happens at various times, not just in cold, with coughinhg or sneezing etc. Sometimes when it starts to leak out I can't stop it. Does this sound like mito (or muscular) related, or it is it just menopausal. I try to do kegal exercises ( for the pelvic floor muscles) regularly. Guest guest
You are right it isn't something I like to talk about but I have had some of those same problems. It seems to me that it is related to all the other 'weird' muscle things going on with me. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does. What a pain! I have gone to the dr about it, but he just treated me for a bladder infection. Then the culture would come back negative. (Which from reading other posts, should be considered a blessing) I haven't got a dx yet. We are still working on that. Joanne
Guest guest
Thanks Laurie for the lamictal and the incontinance issue comments. I think I'm with , I'm not sure I want to get into a lot of yucky testing for it, only to not reallybe able do anything about it.
