Guest guest
Ronnie and Dale, Just read where you all have a birthday on March 5th. Well so does my daughter and so does my uncle. So belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you both. Jane Anne King Dale > Dale, > > Happy Belated Bithday! Looks like some very Good People were born on the 5th of March. I don't mind sharing my birthday with you at all but since I'm the oldest, I get to be the boss. As the boss, if you are going to share my birthdate you have to share the years. So just how many of these years of mine are you willing to take? Remember, you are younger, so you need a few years to catch up and all my years are older, wiser, experienced, tired, slow....no, you don't get a choice. I will tell you this much though. They have all been really good and happy years with just a very few exceptions. Those exceptions didn't last very long; never a year. I'll wrap and send your years tonight. > > Ronnie > > >
Guest guest
Dale, One of my friends told me recently that her daughter said something that she shouldn't have said to her mother, and my friend asked her daughter " why would you talk to me like that, you wouldn't talk to your friends like that " ...her daughter said " I can, because you won't stop loving me and my friends would " . I thought that was very profound for a teenager....made me think of it from a different perspective. Don't take this wrong.... " we " friends wouldn't stop loving you. -- fellow PLSer

Guest guest
Just got home a little while ago, it was the same as last time! I JUST have PLS! HI DALE, SO HAPPY TO HEAR YOU DO NOT HAVE ALS. WE TRULY UNDERSTAND HOW YOU FEEL THAT IT'S PLS. WE WERE OUT SHOPPING THE OTHER DAY AND CAME ACROSS A COUPLE THAT WE HADN'T SEEN SINCE DON'S DX WAS CHANGED TO ALS. THEY WERE SHOCKED TO SEE HIS DECLINED CONDITION. WE TOLD THEM THAT WE WERE SO LUCKY THAT HE GOT THIS NOW. THEY COULDN'T UNDERSTAND THAT. THEN I TOOK A MOMENT TO EXPLAIN ABOUT ALL THE YOUNG FOLKS TRYING TO RAISE A FAMILY WITH THIS TERRIBLE DESEASE. AND HOW MANY DO NOT MAKE IT VERY LONG. YES WE ARE FORTUNATE THAT OUR FAMILY IS GROWN AND ON THEIR OWN. WE ARE NOT RAISING BABIES. DALE LIVE YOUR LIFE TO THE FULLEST. DON'T DWELL ON YOUR INABILITY'S. STRESS YOUR ABILITIES. GET OUT AND ENJOY THE SUN. THIS WINTER HAS BEEN HARD ON US ALL. I JUST CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO BE OVER. I'M AFRAID THE KIDS ARE GOING TO END UP HUNTING EGGS IN THE SNOW AGAIN THIS YEAR. TIE A KNOT IN YOUR ROPE AND HANG ON. LOVE BONNIE
Guest guest
Dale, You are in my prayers. I hope you stabilize soon!!! I think you will!! When you get the motorized wheelchair I think you will feel so much better. Once you are not so tired your progression may slow down. It can be a viscious cycle. i am planning on one soon so i can save my energy. On my ALS group,Living with ALS they were talking about wheelchair races with the kids, walking their pets, going to the mall etc. I think it would great to have some fun and enjoy without worrying about falling, the pain of weak legs and feet and enjoying life without being sooooo tired. Dale since we both live in Denver we can have a race at Park Meadows and maybe pop some wheelees??? N. DALE > > > > Just got home a little while ago, it was the same as last time!
