--- Yes! I have had bad nights sweats for three years now. My Dr

gave me a chest x-ray to rule out TB and checked my hormones. They

were normal. The reason I get the night sweats is that I have

dysautonomia (Autonomic dysfunction) I hope this info helps. Cold

and sweaty nights are very unpleasant.

Yes,

I have had them for about a year now, they go in streaks--have them for about 2 weeks and then do not. I do not know if it is due to melas or menopause. I am 42 but have now idea when my mother went thru it as she died when she was 48.

So, it could be do to mito or other things.

I too have intermittant problems with night sweats- horrible. I didn't relate

them to my temperature regulation difficulties, more with

being of meopausal age. I take estrogen and evening primrose oil and it has

really helped the symptoms, Celia

Last night, early morning, I awoke to find my sheets and pillow

drenched. For, me as a Type I diabetic, this had always been

attributed to a very low nighttime low-blood sugar (too much insulin).

Sweating is a very common reaction to this, although other symptoms

of low bloodsugar are more common for me.

A year ago, I did wake up a few times with sweats and ate some

candy, assuming this is what it was. However, I realized it was

different than other sweating/low-sugar episides. This time I

actually felt quite hot. This is what started me to presue thyroid as

a possible cause, but that was ruled out.

By the way, my diagnosis is a more generic " Myopathy with Tubular

Aggregates " - I think this means there is evidence something is wrong,

but they don't know what it is.
